1410 Zagorje ob Savi
Playwright and storyteller Slavko Grum, a doctor by profession, came to Zagorje in 1929 and remained here until his death. Even though he did not do a lot of writing, he has earned a permanent place in the history of Slovene literature due to his unique style. An event in the town of Goga (Dogodek v mestu Gogi) is viewed as the best Slovenian expressionist play. Furthermore, he also wrote three shorter plays and several distinctly lyrical novellas and short stories.
In Zagorje, he also often gave lectures on diseases and prevention of these, and he was also active in various associations. A memorial panel with his name is built-in on the house on the Cesta Borisa Kidriča street – the place where he lived and worked. Furthermore, there is a plaque with his portrait at the Zagorje Health Centre, created by the stonemason Vladimir Štoviček.
Awards for cultural achievements in Zagorje ob Savi are named after him.
